I am finally getting around to blogging about my garden! I am so so very excited about it right now. I will warn you, it is very small, BUT it is my very first. I love coming out to visit it each evening and seeing how much things are growing. It is very therapeutic.

Kel built the frame for my birthday. What a great present!

My handyman

I went and got compost from brooke- the best kind :)
Thanks brooke!

Digging the foundation

We had the best help

Ta-Da!
We have green and red bell peppers, asparagus (will be ready in 3 years), Rutgers and cherry tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers and zucchini.

This is to show how fast things are growing...this was taken a week after the above pic of the cucumbers (upper right corner of frame)

I framed the outside with marigolds from seeds...they are sprouting each day :)

We also planted summer bulbs like glads, freesia, and something else i can't remember. it is really pretty though. everything is starting to shoot up already!

We started morning glories and moon flowers from seed too and look how much they are training already!
to save cash i spray painted a planter we already had with some paint we had as well. viola!
we have the trellis outside one of our bedroom windows in hopes we can enjoy the morning and evening blooms.

One of my pots on the deck with one of my faves- strawflowers
If you've never seen them, they feel like straw and close up at night

My back hydrangia is HUGE. look at all those blooms...and they are turning BLUE!
